Follow the simple instructions below to find out what your books are worth and get paid. It’s easy!

A Note on Condition

  1. We buy used books, so they do not need to be in perfect condition. Some highlighting and writing is fine, as long as the book is still readable. Use this rule of thumb: If you would buy the book yourself from a used bookstore, it’s probably in good enough condition to sell back.
  2. We can purchase books with Missing CDs, but please let us know up front that the CD is Missing.
  3. We do purchase Lab Manuals, but we cannot buy books that have missing or torn pages.
  4. We cannot buy books that have been water damaged or are moldy. Books with water damage are wrinkled and crinkly. The pages sometimes stick together and may be discolored. Water damage marks the end of a book’s life on the used market. (Click here to see images of water damaged books.)
  5. We must also discount heavily books that smell of smoke. Please indicate if your books smell of smoke when you submit your books to be priced.

STEP ONE – Pricing Your Books

Send us each book’s info through the handy form below. We will send you an email with your prices and further instructions. Be sure to give us a valid email address. Price quotes are good for 30 days. Not bad!

STEP TWO – Getting paid!

Please mail your books to us using the mailing instructions below. Our warehouse address is:

  1. In one box, package securely the books you want to sell and tape the box so it won’t pop open during shipping. Our address is above.
  2. Include in the box a printout of the pricing email we sent you.
  3. Also include in the box your return address where we can send your check.
  4. We strongly recommend you ship using US Postal Service Media Mail. Media Mail can take up to 14 days to deliver, but it is the most economical option.
  5. Very Important: Purchase Delivery Confirmation and save the tracking number in case it is needed. If you do not purchase Delivery Confirmation and a package goes missing, we have no way of knowing what happened to it.
  6. We will reimburse the cost of shipping at the following rate: $3 for the first book and $1 for each additional book.
  7. When we receive your books, we will mail you a check for their value to the address you provided in the package. Allow 2-3 business days processing time for each package of books. Checks go out for processed orders at the end of each week.

The Fine Print (In Plain English)

You are never obligated to sell us a book, even after we’ve priced it for you. Once you’ve mailed a book to us, it becomes our property.

BookFool.com reserves the right to assess the condition of books sent in to be purchased. If a book is water damaged, moldy, and/or has torn or missing pages, it has no monetary value and will not be returned to you, nor will you be reimbursed for shipping. If we discover that it smells of smoke, it will be heavily discounted in value and you will be paid the discounted rate.

BookFool.com cannot be held responsible for damage that occurs in transit.

Always include in the package the email we sent that values your books. Do not ship us your books until we price them. Books shipped to us without first being priced may not be valuable and will not be returned. Furthermore, BookFool.com is not able to reimburse shipping for books you send that we have not requested.
